Circ Elation
for Lower Leg Edema and Pain
When my patient walked in and sat on the examination table, I could see his pain etched upon his face. He said he was suffering from an aching in his lower legs. During the course of my exam, when I pressed the veins in his calf area they remained indented. There were superficial cordlike protrusions in the area of several of his veins.
My patient was suffering from chronic venous insufficiency combined with an accumulation of excess fluid, commonly known as edema.
My concern was that if the condition worsened, he could suffer from a clot and an embolism that could travel to his brain and cause a stroke. I knew that we had to do something. But we needed a very powerful and proven natural medicine.
The lesson here is that health of the lower extremities is critical. Venous insufficiency not only causes varicose veins but can lead to acute inflammation (thrombophlebitis) and potential clots.
If you or someone whom you know suffers from excess swelling in their lower extremities, I want to tell you about Circ Elation, a fantastic natural remedy that may help because it contains a number of phytonutrients shown to aid in circulation.

Breaking the Cycle
There is a vicious circle to venous insufficiency. When the veins aren’t returning blood to the heart well enough, the cells lining the veins stagnate and are deprived of oxygen. This makes them start to swell and become inflamed., further inhibiting the circulation. The swelling also causes greater fragility of the veins. As the area suffers from inflammation, white blood cells congregate. They clog up the veins and make it harder for the blood to get through, further increasing the problem.

Finally, cells lacking oxygen release growth factors, causing more growth of the veins. Increased vein volume makes it more difficult for the veins to return the blood to the heart, further aggravating the problem of venous insufficiency.

Natural Formula
An Useful Remedy

Horse chestnut extract (Aesculus hippocastanum) together with curcumin-rich turmeric and grape seed extracts in Circ Elation from Whitewing Labs can help—especially considering that the pain relievers many patients take to quell their inflammation serve only to lessen the pain but do nothing to break the cycle.

Horse Chestnut Extract Safety

Horse chestnut extract is very safe and well tolerated. It has no known drug or medication interactions.

The active ingredient of horse chestnut extract is escine. It seems to work better than compression hosiery, which works immediately to improve blood flow in the veins but doesn’t have a cumulative effect. In other words, hosiery isn’t more effective with time, and halting treatment ends its effectiveness. Horse chestnut extract works more slowly, but its effects continue after treatment is halted.
Horse chestnut extract allows cells lining the veins to better tolerate a lack of oxygen. This can help break the vicious circle of venous insufficiency, leading to less inflammation, less swelling, and fewer white blood cells accumulating, notes one expert. In theory, according to experts, use of horse chestnut seed should also lead to less vein growth and less varicose veins, though this has not been tested directly.
The addition of curcumin-rich turmeric should also help to inhibit growth factors that enable the cells of the veins to continue to grow and lose more integrity.
Grapeseed extract helps to restore integrity to the veins.
My patient has improved measurably, thanks to natural medicines. He’ll need to watch his diet and cut out saturated fats, exercise, and continue to avoid long periods of standing, but I believe we’ve gotten him over the most difficult part and that he is now on his way to enhanced circulation.
If you suffer circulatory problems such as chronic venous insufficiency, or diabetic-related circulatory problems, be sure to try Circ Elation. For fast relief, try Skin Elation, a topical cream applied directly to an area such as the feet, where circulation is poor. Order together in the Circulation Package or separately by using the order form in the center of this journal.
