Nature's Superfood Formulas
by Donna Alderman, D.O.
Spring, a time of rebirth. Dormant seeds sprout, birds return from winter homes, snow melts in anticipation of the warmer temperatures of summer.
Summer, a time for new growth. Trees, branches long bare, are bright with new leaves and heavy with luscious fruit. Multitudes of plants and flowers abound in a palate of radiant hues. The warm air stirs, ever so slightly, with the flutter of newly emerged butterflies while a faint drone from the buzz of worker bees announces nature is in full-swing. What a glorious time of year! So vibrant! Full of life; brilliant with color; and warm with the sun's rays. Breathtaking . . . or is it?
For many, this time of year brings with it the miseries of allergies, sinus headaches, head colds and hay fever brought on by pollens, animal excretions (danders, saliva and urine), grass, feathers, insects, molds and mildew. For these allergy sufferers, the otherwise wondrous sights, sounds and smells of spring and summer are lost on bleary eyes and muffled in mounds of discarded tissues. Instead of vases filled with bouquets of flowers, it's medicine cabinets overflowing with prescription allergy medicines, over-the-counter sinus and cold remedies, eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, you name it.
As a doctor, I have seen more than my share of patients suffering from various allergy and sinus ailments. In severe cases when an allergy has created an infection, I have found it necessary to prescribe medication. However, as a believer in preventive methods and in finding natural solutions, I recommend using natural alternative such as RestPiration from Whitewing Labs.
RestPiration is totally unique with its powerful contingent of herbs and nutrients that will help many persons to support healthy respiratory function this summer. This particular formula naturally helps inhibit histamines and relieves the inflammation caused by irritants. RestPiration could be the answer to reducing or eliminating the use of drugs.

RestPiration helps inhibit excess cell histamine production.  With histamine inhibition, the walls of the bronchioles become less infllamed, increasing air flow into the bronchioles (tubes) that lelad into the lungs to the alveoli (air sacs of the lungs).  Breathing returns to normal

Powerful Picrorhiza kurroa
In particular, the plant chemical androsin from Picrorhiza kurroa—one of the key ingredients found in RestPiration by Whitewing Labs—can help to support healthy bronchial function even when susceptible persons are exposed to allergens. The plant is highly adept at the inhibition of inflammation-causing histamines. More than 30 additional studies validate the efficacy of this powerful herb!

Magnesium, Ascorbate
Benefits Healthy Breathing

Researchers from the New York Medical College, Valhalla, writing in a 1988 article in the journal Magnesium note, "Recently, there has been considerable interest generated in the possible importance of magnesium . . . in the regulation of bronchial smooth muscle tone and pulmonary vascular tone. These factors have aroused interest in the possible utilization of Mg salts in the treatment of lung diseases (e.g., allergies, pulmonary hypertension, etc.). Mg salts certainly appear to be potentially useful therapeutic avenues for these conditions...."
Magnesium, along with other important vitamins and natural herbs, can be found in RestPiration from Whitewing Labs.
RestPiration provides fast, safe, effective relief from the distress associated with hay fever and allergies. To order RestPiration or any of the other products talk about in this issue, turn to the order form in the center of the journal.

WELL-KNOWN PHYSICIAN ADVOCATES NATURAL ALTERNATIVES

Andrew Weil, M.D., the nationally recognized complementary medicine physician who lives on a ranch outside Tucson, knows hay fever all too well.
"Nature is beautiful here in southern Arizona, but allergic rhinitis-hay fever sometimes gets in the way of enjoying it," he says. "I'm personally familiar with the usual symptoms: itching eyes, nose, throat, and ears; violent sneezing; and a runny nose."
Hay fever, so common in spring and summer, is triggered by airborne pollens of various plants and trees and is typical of a certain kind of allergic response, adds Dr. Weil. "Because pollen cannot really harm us, the immune system's reaction to it serves no purpose."
Dr. Weil calls conventional medical treatment for allergy-related respiratory distress "unsatisfactory." Desensitization shots are invasive, expensive, time-consuming and often not effective enough to justify the trouble, he says. Antihistamines are toxic and suppressive, and steroids are dangerous, he adds.
Fortunately, says the Harvard-trained physician, there are natural alternatives that work well.
